I am originally from a small town in Japan, and I have stayed/lived in the US, Canada, and Australia. And I love traveling! So I am always planning on a new trip or trying to move to different countries and cities when I can. I just love going to new places, leaning about different cultures, history, and meeting people. That’s one of the reasons why I love learning languages myself. Learning and teaching languages have become my passion, I also genuinely enjoy talking about cultures with my students, so if you are interested in not only the language but also the culture and other things about Japan, let’s chat!

I have been teaching Japanese both online and in person, to a variety of students from complete beginners to advanced students, from all over the world!
Since I have experience in learning different languages myself, I know what it is like to learn a whole new language and that it seems daunting. But trust me, it can be really enjoyable and satisfying.
I offer mainly 3 different types of lessons depending on each student’s needs and wants: 1) structured grammar lessons with lots of opportunities to actually use the new grammar points you learn
, 2) conversational lessons - more for students above intermediate level,
3) customized lessons for each student (e.x. for JLPT)
You do not have to choose only one of the above, please let me know what your goals/needs are, and what you prefer so that we can figure out what suits you the best together :)
Lastly, I’d like to mention that I try to make my lessons as fun as they can possibly be because I genuinely believe that learning a language should never be stressful, but always enjoyable. So I hope we can share laughter and enjoy lessons together!
