Hello, I’m Uni. I have loved Japanese manga since childhood, from shōjo and shōnen stories to many other genres. One of my favorite stories is Heaven Official’s Blessing by Mo Xiang Tong Xiu. Before a Japanese edition was available, I wanted to read it so much that I studied English. That experience taught me how powerful a favorite story can be as motivation for language learning, and I would be happy to support learners who feel the same way about BL manga.
I also worked as a home economics teacher in Japanese public high schools for more than ten years. I taught nutrition, meal planning, and ways to turn knowledge into realistic daily habits. I supported students in thinking about practical food choices that matched their own lives.
I have also helped an international student with daily life in Japan and supported a long-term resident from Chile with natural Japanese conversation for about four months. My style is calm, friendly, and focused on your interests. I listen carefully, explain without judgment, and help you make steady progress at a comfortable pace.

My lessons use two topics that many adult learners genuinely enjoy: BL manga and Japanese food culture. The main goal is to help you understand natural Japanese in a relaxed, practical way.
For BL manga lessons, you choose a legally purchased manga that you own. We read selected scenes together and explore vocabulary, grammar, conversational expressions, tone, and the emotional distance between characters. These lessons are best for intermediate and advanced learners who want to understand details that are difficult to notice through translation alone.
For Japanese food lessons, we learn useful Japanese while discussing everyday meals, menu planning, ingredients, and realistic eating habits. I taught home economics in Japanese public high schools for more than ten years, including nutrition and meal planning. I focus on small, practical changes that can fit your daily life. This is educational support, not medical treatment.
Lessons are mainly in Japanese, with English support when needed. Food lessons can also be adapted for beginners; please contact me before booking. In the first lesson, we will discuss your interests, current level, and goals, then create a lesson plan that feels enjoyable and achievable for you.
