I am a Japanese language tutor living in Japan and hold a teaching license issued in Japan. I previously worked as a mathematics teacher at a junior high school, where I taught many students over several years. Through my experience as a math teacher, I learned that the reasons students struggle are different for each individual. This helped me develop the ability to adjust my explanations based on each learner’s level of understanding, which has become a strong advantage in my Japanese language teaching as well.
Many learners feel discouraged when Japanese grammar or expressions seem difficult. In my lessons, I focus on reducing that anxiety and helping students build confidence through repeated experiences of “I understand” and “I can speak.” I carefully explain why certain expressions are used so that students can learn with understanding rather than memorization.
I offer lessons for daily conversation, JLPT preparation, and children’s Japanese lessons, tailoring each lesson to the learner’s goals. My aim is to make Japanese learning a positive and enjoyable experience.
In addition to Japanese, I can speak a little English.
私は日本在住の日本語講師です。日本の学校の教員免許を持っています。これまで日本の中学校で数学を指導してきました。数学教師として多くの生徒と向き合う中で、「分からない理由は人それぞれ違う」ということを学び、一人ひとりの理解度に合わせて説明の仕方を変える力を身につけました。この経験が、日本語を教える上でも大きな強みになっています。
日本語学習では、文法や表現が難しく感じて自信を失ってしまう方も多くいます。私は、そうした学習者の不安を取り除き、「分かった」「話せた」という成功体験を積み重ねてもらうことを大切にしています。そのため、なぜその表現を使うのかを丁寧に説明し、納得しながら学べるレッスンを心がけています。
日常会話、JLPT対策、子ども向けレッスンまで幅広く対応し、それぞれの目的に合わせた指導を行います。日本語学習を前向きで楽しいものにしたい、そんな思いでレッスンを続けています。
話せる言語は日本語以外に、英語を少しだけ話せます。

My Japanese lessons are built around three main pillars: daily conversation, JLPT preparation, and lessons for children. I hold teaching licenses for junior high and high school mathematics in Japan and have experience teaching mathematics at a Japanese junior high school, so teaching and explaining concepts clearly is one of my strengths.
In daily conversation lessons, we focus on practical Japanese that is commonly used in real life and travel, rather than textbook-style expressions. For JLPT preparation, I help students organize key points in grammar, vocabulary, and reading comprehension, encouraging deep understanding instead of rote memorization. In lessons for children, I pay close attention to their concentration and level of understanding, creating a fun and engaging learning environment through games and quizzes while keeping a good pace.
Lessons generally follow a clear structure: warm-up, review, explanation of new content, practice, and summary.
I work flexibly with:
・Beginners to lower-intermediate learners
・Learners who have few opportunities to speak Japanese
・Students preparing for exams
・Children (Japanese and mathematics)
Each lesson is tailored to the student’s goals and level to ensure effective and enjoyable learning.
私の日本語レッスンは、日常会話・JLPT対策・子ども向け指導の3つを柱としています。私は日本の中学・高校の数学免許を持っており、日本の中学校で数学を指導していた経験があり、「教えること」が得意です。
日常会話のレッスンでは、教科書的な日本語ではなく、実際の生活や旅行でよく使われる表現を中心に練習します。JLPT対策では、文法・語彙・読解のポイントを整理し、暗記に頼らず理解を深める指導を行います。子ども向けのレッスンでは、集中力や理解度に配慮し、ゲームやクイズを通して、テンポよく進めながら楽しく学べる環境を大切にしています。
授業は、ウォームアップ、復習、新しい内容の説明、練習、まとめという流れで進めます。
