Swarnayanさんについて
I am Swarnayan, a Hindustani Classical Vocalist trained in the Bishnupur Gharana, with over 25 years of dedicated training rooted in the traditional Guru–Shishya parampara.
My musical journey began at a very young age and has developed through years of disciplined riyaaz, deep listening, and structured learning, focusing not only on singing but on understanding the architecture of raga, voice culture, and expression (bhaav).
Alongside music, I am also a PhD researcher in Neuroscience, which allows me to approach voice training with a unique perspective—understanding how the brain, hearing, and vocal system work together in the process of learning music.
This combination helps me guide students in a way that is:
Structured and systematic
Scientifically aware (pitch, perception, control)
Rooted in authentic classical tradition
I have experience teaching students from different backgrounds and countries, and I adapt my teaching style based on each student’s level, voice, and learning pace.
My focus is not on quick results, but on helping students build a strong, stable, and expressive voice that develops correctly over time.

Hindustani classical music is not just about singing — it is a system of training the voice, mind, and listening ability.
I offer structured vocal training rooted in the Bishnupur Gharana tradition, designed for students who want to develop clarity, depth, and control in their voice.
In these lessons, you will learn to:
Achieve accurate swara (pitch) control
Develop a stable, resonant and flexible voice
Understand raga grammar, chalan, and expression (bhaav)
Build listening ability and musical awareness
Training includes:
Swar Sadhana & Alankars
Voice culture & breath control
Meend, Gamak, Kan (ornamentation)
Alaap & Taans (structured improvisation)
This is not casual singing practice — it is a guided classical training system.
Teaching Approach (Gayaki Ang + Structured Riyaaz)
My teaching is based on:
