Hi! I’m Sakura, a Japanese teacher based in Osaka!
I have lived in Osaka, Fukuoka, and Australia
I lived in Australia for two years, and I absolutely love Australia! 🤍
I have experience working as a pastry chef and as a student support staff member at a Japanese language school
At the Japanese language school, I supported international students from all over the world and helped organize Japanese cultural experiences and activities around Osaka.
Through my work, I’ve had many opportunities to share the beauty of Japan with people from overseas, including Japanese culture, food, sightseeing, and everyday life
Living abroad also taught me how challenging it can be when you don’t understand the language or experience cultural differences.
I’m currently learning English and Spanish myself!
Because I know both the fun and the challenges of learning a foreign language, I always want my students to feel comfortable and think, “It’s okay to make mistakes!”
People often describe me as friendly, cheerful, and easy to talk to
I love talking with people, listening to their stories, learning new things, and trying new experiences!

From “Textbook Japanese” to “Natural Japanese”
I’ll teach you natural expressions that native Japanese speakers actually use in everyday conversations, as well as tips that are difficult to learn from textbooks alone.

Let’s practice useful Japanese that you can actually use during your trip to Japan through fun role-plays!

We’ll practice realistic situations so you can feel more confident using Japanese in Japan!
If you’re traveling to the Kansai area, I can also teach you some Osaka dialect (Osaka-ben)!
