Konnichiwa, I'm Mariko.
I was born in Japan and have 13 years of experience living abroad (in the United States and Canada).
I have taught Japanese classes as a TA at the University of Idaho for 3 years which I graduated with Bachelors Degree in Psychology.
I have also worked as a school counselor at an Eikaiwa (English learning) school in Tokyo and have taught English and Japanese in private settings.
I will be able to teach you in detail, fully understanding the differences in nuance of language with enthusiasm, and without any doubt when you leave the class!
Currently I am a CEO of the company based in Japan. I also run a learning community called "Masterclass for Japanese Instructors". I am a director, a producer and a creator.

My lessons will mainly focus on conversation because I understand that speaking is the HARDEST part for all of us when learning foreign languages. Additionally, you will need a partner to communicate, and I am happy to become one of your conversation partners!
IF YOU PREFER ENGLISH EXPLANATIONS:
I will be able to do that with pleasure. Sometimes, it's faster to understand when it is explained in your native tongue!
IF YOU PREFER 100% JAPANESE LESSONS:
Please inform me when we start the class so that I will use only Japanese in the class to enhance your listening and speaking skills.
IF YOU PREFER TO USE A TEXTBOOK:
・Minna no Nihongo Elementary Second Edition
・GENKI 1st and 3rd (latest) Edition
are the ones I have and will use with students who prefer to use a textbook during the session.
OR Please send me the file or any materials that you would like to work on in the class so that we will have the same documents to share.
