Hi! I’m Taichi, a native Japanese speaker from Japan! I graduated from Juntendo University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Health Science. I’m currently playing soccer competitively while teaching Japanese online. At university, I studied sports, health science, and education. I also obtained teaching licenses for junior high school and high school physical education in Japan. I have experience teaching Japanese online, working as a private tutor in Japan, and completing a teaching internship at a school. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how important it is to adapt my teaching style to each student’s level, goals, and learning needs. One of my biggest strengths is that I’m also a language learner myself! I’m currently studying English, so I understand how challenging learning a new language can be. I know how frustrating it can feel when you want to express yourself but can’t find the right words. That’s why I want to create a friendly and comfortable learning environment where students can ask questions freely, make mistakes without worrying, and build their confidence step by step. As a soccer player, I’ve also had many opportunities to meet people from different backgrounds. These experiences have taught me the importance of communication and connecting with others. In my free time, I enjoy playing soccer, working out, and traveling. I’d love to talk with you about sports, Japanese culture, daily life, or anything else you’re interested in! My goal is to help you feel confident speaking Japanese in real-life situations. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced learner, I offer fun, relaxed, and personalized lessons based on your level, interests, and goals. I graduated from Juntendo University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sports and Health Science. I’m currently playing soccer competitively while teaching Japanese online. Through these experiences, I’ve learned the importance of providing fun, engaging, and easy-to-understand lessons tailored to each student’s goals and level. What Makes My Lessons Special? ① Practical, Conversation-Based Lessons ️ My lessons focus on helping you learn real Japanese that you can actually use in everyday life! We can enjoy natural conversations about daily life, travel, hobbies, Japanese culture, or anything else you’re interested in. Through these conversations, you’ll learn useful vocabulary, natural expressions, and how Japanese people actually speak. My goal is to help you become more comfortable and confident speaking Japanese in real-life situations. ② Lessons for All Levels Everyone is welcome, from complete beginners to advanced learners! If you’re a beginner, we’ll start with the basics, including greetings, pronunciation, essential vocabulary, and simple grammar. I’ll explain everything clearly and help you build a strong foundation step by step. If you’re an intermediate or advanced learner, we’ll focus more on free conversation, natural expressions, and improving your speaking fluency. I can also explain things in English when necessary. No matter your level, I’ll help you improve your Japanese at your own pace! ③ Personalized Lessons Just for You I believe everyone learns differently, so I don’t follow a strict teaching method or use the same materials for every student. Instead, I customize each lesson based on your goals, interests, and Japanese level. My lessons are perfect for students who want to: * Learn useful Japanese for everyday life * ️ Have natural conversations with Japanese people * ️ Prepare for traveling, studying, or living in Japan * Improve their Japanese grammar and vocabulary * Practice speaking Japanese more often Whatever your goal is, we’ll work together to help you achieve it! ④ A Friendly and Relaxed Learning Environment As an active soccer player, I’ve had many opportunities to meet and communicate with people from different backgrounds. These experiences have taught me how important communication and building connections with others can be. I want my lessons to feel like you’re having a conversation with a Japanese friend rather than sitting in a traditional classroom. You don’t need to worry about making mistakes! Making mistakes is a natural part of learning a new language. Let’s enjoy speaking Japanese, learning new things, and building your confidence together! How My Lessons Work My lessons are flexible and designed around your individual needs. Here’s an example of a typical 60-minute lesson: First 5 minutes: Warm-up Conversation We’ll start with a friendly conversation about your day, your week, or anything you’d like to talk about. Next 10 minutes: Review & New Expressions We’ll review what you’ve learned previously and introduce useful new vocabulary, grammar, or expressions. ️ Next 35 minutes: Conversation & Practice This is the main part of the lesson! Depending on your level and goals, we’ll practice conversations, study grammar, or discuss topics that interest you. Last 10 minutes: Review & Feedback We’ll review what you’ve learned, answer any questions, and talk about areas you can improve. Of course, this is just an example! Every lesson can be adjusted to match your level, goals, and preferences. No Mandatory Homework! I believe learning should be enjoyable, not stressful. That’s why I generally don’t assign homework. Instead, we’ll focus on learning, practicing, and improving your Japanese together during our lessons. A Message to My Future Students I’m also learning English myself, so I understand both the challenges and the excitement of learning a foreign language. I know how difficult it can be to express your thoughts in another language, but I also know how rewarding it feels when you finally communicate successfully! Through my lessons, I hope you’ll not only improve your Japanese but also discover more about Japanese culture, daily life, and the people of Japan. Whether you’re just starting your Japanese learning journey or you’ve already been studying for years, you’re always welcome in my lessons!
