Yurika について
Hi, I’m Yurika, a native Japanese speaker with a passion for language education and helping learners grow.
I mainly teach beginners who speak English, and I have several years of experience working as an English teacher in both Japan and Mexico.
This background allows me to explain Japanese grammar and expressions in a way that makes sense to English speakers.
Although I don’t hold a formal certification in Japanese language teaching, I’ve completed several training seminars and continue to learn and adapt my methods.
My classes are warm, structured, and supportive—perfect for those who want to build confidence gradually while enjoying their first steps into Japanese.
I always aim to create a relaxed and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making progress.

This course is for complete beginners who want to build a strong foundation in Japanese.
We use the “Marugoto A1” textbook, which students are encouraged to purchase.
However, screen sharing is used during lessons, so you can still participate without it.
Supplementary materials are provided for free.
Lessons cover basic grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and Japanese writing—starting with hiragana and katakana.
Classes are held online every other week in small groups (5–10 students).
Recordings are available for two weeks after each session.
Clear English explanations and step-by-step support help you feel comfortable and build confidence as you begin your Japanese journey.
