I had the pleasure of being a student of Megumi, and I cannot recommend her highly enough.

What made Megumi such a wonderful teacher was how genuinely personalized her lessons were. She took the time to understand not only where I struggled, but also where my strengths were, and she used those strengths as a starting point to help me work through my weaknesses. Rather than following a fixed lesson plan, she adapted her teaching to what I needed at each stage of my learning.

Megumi is incredibly patient and encouraging. If something wasn’t working for me, she would never simply repeat the same explanation and expect a different result. She would approach it from another angle, find a different way of explaining it, or introduce a completely different exercise until it clicked. Because of this, every lesson felt different, engaging, and genuinely interesting.

I also really appreciated that she challenged me while still making me feel comfortable. She has a great sense of when to push you further and when to take a step back and try another approach. Her lessons never felt repetitive or formulaic, and I always came away feeling that I had learned something new.

Most importantly, Megumi is the kind of teacher who truly cares about her students’ progress. She pays attention to the individual person rather than simply teaching the subject, and that made a huge difference in my own experience as her student.
