Piano: The focus is on 3 points: Artistry, Originality and Accessibility.
Artistry - "Don't just play the notes on the score - create art from the score".
Originality - I teach my students to make the pieces they learn "their own" - a unique interpretation.
Accessibility - I teach piano pieces suitable for a student's own technique.
Composition: I teach students to compose music in their own voice - in other words, to write the music that THEY want to hear.
Theory: I equip students with all the theoretical skills they need to study at a university level - counterpoint, SATB harmony, analysis and post-tonal theory.
