Hi, I’m Ayano, a native Japanese speaker living in Japan. I have studied English for many years, and I also speak a little Korean, so I understand both the challenges and the enjoyment of learning another language. In my lessons, I would like to help you feel comfortable speaking Japanese and give you plenty of opportunities to practice in a relaxed environment. I can adapt our conversations to your goals and interests, whether you want to improve your everyday conversation, prepare for a trip to Japan, communicate more confidently while living in Japan, or simply enjoy speaking Japanese more naturally. If something is difficult to understand, I can support you in English when needed. I’m happy to adjust the pace and topics to suit you, so you can learn in a way that feels comfortable and enjoyable. My goal is to create a friendly and comfortable space where you can enjoy speaking Japanese, make mistakes without pressure, and build confidence little by little. I’d be happy to learn about your interests and goals, and I hope we can enjoy practicing Japanese together!

My lessons are mainly conversation-based and focus on practical Japanese that you can use in real life. I want my lessons to be relaxed and friendly, so you can speak without worrying too much about making mistakes.
We can choose a topic based on your interests, such as travel, food, hobbies, work, daily life in Japan, shopping, or Japanese culture. During our conversation, I can help you with vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and more natural ways to express yourself. If something is difficult to understand, I can also explain it in English when needed.
A typical lesson may start with a short warm-up conversation, followed by a main conversation topic, and end with a review of useful words and expressions from the lesson.
My lessons are suitable for beginners to intermediate learners who want to improve their speaking skills and become more confident using Japanese in everyday situations. I can also help with practical Japanese for travel, living in Japan, pharmacies, and healthcare situations.
I’m generally available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays (Japan Standard Time). Feel free to message me to find a time that works for both of us.
