I am from Dublin, Ireland, with a BSc in Applied Psychology and a master's degree in linguistics from the University of Helsinki. I also hold a level 3 TEFL certificate in English teaching. I have privately tutored over a dozen students in Ireland prior to opening this profile, and also have teaching experience in lecturing and presenting. I speak English, Irish, some German, Icelandic and Finnish.

I conduct lessons online, over Google Meets. I tailor lessons to the individual, teaching them how to recognise the features of their own speech and understand how language is produced. I am currently a researcher in the sounds of various European languages and am highly qualified to assess and teach English.
Lessons are one hour long, either booked individually or in a block. I encourage new students to take a single lesson to ease themselves in. I typically give small tasks and practice words/sounds between lessons. It is not mandatory to abide by them, but ideally one should be prepared to do some homework in addition to lesssons.
