Hi! I'm a native Japanese speaker, and I love meeting people from all over the world. Before becoming a tutor, I worked as a police officer in Japan. That job taught me how to listen carefully, stay patient, and communicate clearly with all kinds of people — skills I now bring to every lesson. I've also lived in the Philippines for six months and in Australia for a year, and for the past two years I've been learning English and Chinese myself. So I know firsthand how challenging — and exciting — learning a new language can be. I remember the moments I got stuck, and I also remember the joy of finally being understood. I'd love to share that experience with you. As a native speaker, I can show you where Japanese learners often get stuck and help you get past those points in a fun, relaxed way, so we can enjoy discovering the language together. In my free time, I enjoy working out, reading, and watching movies, so feel free to chat with me about anything!

I'll be a good listener for you! Over the past two years, I learned to speak English mainly by talking as much as possible, so my lessons are conversation-based and focused on getting you speaking from day one. How the lessons work: Beginners: We'll start with simple questions and everyday phrases, and I'll explain things in English whenever you need it. Conversational learners: We'll move on to deeper topics like your hobbies, travel plans, or your favorite dramas and anime, and practice speaking naturally and freely. What you can learn: Everyday Japanese you can use in real life Useful phrases for traveling in Japan Natural, casual expressions you hear in dramas and anime Don't worry about making mistakes. I'll gently point out the most important corrections and suggest more natural ways to say things, so you improve without losing your confidence. Speaking with confidence is the goal, and having fun along the way is the best way to get there. Feel free to join anytime — I'm looking forward to chatting with you!
