About Me
Hi, I’m Chihiro, a native Japanese teacher from Osaka, Japan.
I have been teaching Japanese for 7 years, working with learners from complete beginners to intermediate and advanced levels.
But I believe learning a language can be much more than learning grammar and vocabulary.
Sometimes, speaking in your native language can feel surprisingly difficult.
There may be things you want to talk about, but somehow you cannot find the words.
Your dreams.
Your future.
Your relationships.
Your work.
Your worries.
The kind of person you want to become.
So, what if you tried talking about those things **in Japanese**?
A second language can sometimes give us a little distance from our usual way of thinking. It can create a new space where we can explore ideas, feelings, possibilities, and even a different version of ourselves.
My role is not to tell you what you should do with your life.
Instead, I listen carefully, ask questions, help you find the Japanese words you need, and give you a safe and encouraging space to express yourself.
Through my experience in education, active listening, and learning about how the brain supports learning and habit formation, I have developed a strong interest in helping people turn what they want to achieve into something they can actually put into words and action.
So if you are learning Japanese because you want to **change something, try something new, connect with people differently, or become a new version of yourself**, I would love to talk with you.
You don't need to have a perfect Japanese level.
You just need something you want to talk about.

About My Lessons
Japanese Conversation + Self-Reflection
This is not a traditional Japanese lesson where I simply explain grammar and give you exercises.
We use **Japanese conversation as a tool for thinking, expressing yourself, and discovering what matters to you.**
For example, we might talk about:
* What kind of life do you want?
* What would you like to change?
* What are you curious about right now?
* What makes you feel excited?
* What kind of person do you want to become?
* What is something you have never told anyone?
* What would you do if you were not afraid of failing?
* What kind of relationships do you want to build?
* What does a “good life” mean to you?
You choose what you want to talk about.
I will help you express your thoughts naturally in Japanese, while gently asking questions that help you explore them further.
️ “I want to talk about something, but I don't know how to say it in Japanese.”
That's completely okay.
You can speak with simple Japanese.
I'll help you find:
**the words → the expressions → the nuance → your own voice**
And when you make mistakes, that's part of the process.
The goal isn't perfect Japanese.
The goal is to become increasingly comfortable saying **what you actually want to say**.
Learn Japanese in a way your brain remembers
Rather than simply memorizing a list of vocabulary, we connect new expressions to **your own experiences, thoughts, and stories**.
When you use a new expression to talk about something that genuinely matters to you, it becomes much more meaningful than a sentence from a textbook.
We review and reuse important expressions so that they gradually become part of your active Japanese.
