Hey there! I'm Rida, currently studying AS/A Levels in high school and offering mathematics lessons for elementary and middle school students.
As a student myself, I understand that mathematics doesn't always come naturally. I wasn't always great at math either, and I've experienced what it's like to struggle before gradually improving through practice and finding methods that worked for me. Because of that, I know everyone learns differently, and not every explanation will work for every student. I don't want my students to go through the same frustrations I did if I can help make their learning journey a little easier.
That's why I will always strive to explain concepts in more than one way and adjust my explanations based on how each student learns best. I don't just want students to memorize a method. I want them to understand why it works so that they can solve similar problems with confidence on their own.
I also understand that some students feel more comfortable learning from someone closer to their age. My philosophy isn't only about helping students understand mathematics, but also about being someone they feel comfortable learning with. I want my students to know that, behind the screen, their tutor is also a student who understands many of the same struggles they face and is always happy to listen, encourage them, and help them grow.

Lessons are tailored to each student's pace and learning style, as I understand that everyone learns differently. Rather than relying on a single method, I will always try to explain concepts in multiple ways until they make sense.
My goal is not only to help students solve problems, but also to understand why mathematical concepts work. Whenever appropriate, I incorporate real-life examples and simple 3D visualizations to make abstract ideas easier to understand and remember. I encourage students to ask as many questions as they like, and I aim to create a comfortable space where making mistakes is simply part of learning.
Lessons are conducted in English. However, if a student needs occasional clarification, I can also provide beginner-level Japanese support when appropriate.
After each lesson, I can provide a PDF or another preferred format containing the whiteboard notes and worked solutions so students can revisit everything whenever they need.
Whether you're looking to strengthen your mathematical foundations, catch up on difficult topics, or prepare for school exams, I'll adapt each lesson to your goals and help you build both your understanding and confidence in mathematics.
