Hello! I’m Yoshi, a native Japanese speaker, professional photographer, and author living in Japan.
I have lived in many different parts of Japan, including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Kanazawa, Okinawa, and Nagano. I have also traveled extensively throughout Japan and abroad through my work as a photographer and author.
I studied art and education at university, and I especially enjoy creating visual, practical learning materials that are easy to understand and remember.
My lessons are fully personalized.
Rather than using exactly the same textbook and lesson plan for every student, I adapt each lesson to your level, interests, goals, and difficulties.
I can create lessons around topics such as:
travel in Japan
everyday conversation
living in Japan
work and business situations
food and restaurants
music and movies
photography
hobbies
Japanese culture
I especially enjoy teaching beginners and lower-intermediate students who want to communicate naturally with Japanese people and actually use Japanese in real situations.
Lessons are mainly conducted in Japanese, but I can explain grammar, vocabulary, and difficult points in English whenever necessary.
I also speak Spanish and can provide Spanish support for beginners.

¡Hola! Soy Yoshi, japonés nativo, fotógrafo profesional y autor, y vivo en Japón.
He vivido en diferentes regiones de Japón, entre ellas Tokio, Osaka, Nagoya, Kanazawa, Okinawa y Nagano. También he viajado mucho por Japón y por otros países gracias a mi trabajo como fotógrafo y autor.
Estudié arte y educación en la universidad y me gusta especialmente crear materiales visuales y prácticos para que el japonés sea más fácil de entender y recordar.
Mis clases son totalmente personalizadas.
Adapto cada clase a tu nivel, tus intereses, tus objetivos y las dificultades que tengas.
Podemos aprender japonés utilizando temas como viajes, vida cotidiana en Japón, trabajo, comida, música, cine, fotografía, aficiones y cultura japonesa.
Me gusta especialmente trabajar con estudiantes principiantes y de nivel intermedio bajo que quieren comunicarse con japoneses y utilizar el idioma en situaciones reales.
Las clases se realizan principalmente en japonés, pero cuando sea necesario puedo explicar gramática, vocabulario y otros puntos difíciles en español.
También puedo utilizar inglés.
Si empiezas japonés desde cero, no hay ningún problema. Podemos avanzar poco a poco y adaptar el ritmo a ti.

My lessons focus on Japanese that you can actually use.
We can practice with dialogues, role-plays, photos, maps, menus, signs, and situations that you may really experience in Japan.
For example:
ordering at a restaurant
asking for directions
shopping
checking into a hotel
talking with Japanese friends
introducing yourself
everyday conversations
formal and casual Japanese
preparing for a trip or life in Japan
I prepare and adapt materials for each student.
During the lesson, I also pay attention to vocabulary, mistakes, questions, and expressions that are difficult for you. I can then use these points to create future exercises and review materials.
Rather than simply memorizing grammar rules, my goal is to help you understand what Japanese people actually say and how Japanese changes depending on the situation and the person you are talking to.
As a professional photographer, I can also use photographs, places in Japan, travel experiences, and other visual materials as conversation topics.

Mis clases se centran en el japonés que realmente puedes utilizar.
Practicaremos mediante diálogos, situaciones reales, fotografías, mapas, menús y otros materiales visuales.
Podemos practicar situaciones como pedir comida en un restaurante, comprar, preguntar direcciones, hablar con amigos japoneses, presentarte o prepararte para viajar o vivir en Japón.
Preparo y adapto los materiales para cada estudiante.
Durante la clase también observo las palabras, errores y preguntas que te resultan difíciles y puedo utilizarlos después para preparar ejercicios y materiales de repaso personalizados.
Mi objetivo no es solamente que memorices gramática, sino ayudarte a entender cómo hablan realmente los japoneses y qué expresión resulta más natural según cada situación.
Como fotógrafo profesional, también puedo utilizar fotografías y experiencias reales de Japón como material para practicar conversación.
