Sakikoさんについて
I was born and raised in Japan and completed all of my compulsory education there. It wasn’t until my twenties that I became comfortable using English. I later studied International Development at a graduate school in the UK, where I completed my master’s degree.
More recently, I have also started learning Spanish in my free time. Through these experiences, I have come to understand firsthand the challenges of learning a second language—the frustration of not being able to express yourself exactly as you want, as well as the ups and downs that come with continuing to learn.
We live in a time when AI makes it possible to learn many different languages on your own. However precisely because of this, why not choose to learn one-on-one and develop a more natural and confident command of Japanese, while gaining a deeper understanding of the cultural background and nuances behind the language?

日本で生まれ育ち、義務教育のすべてを日本で受けてきました。そんな私が、英語をスムーズに使えるようになったのは20代になってからです。その後、イギリスの大学院で国際開発学を学び、修士課程を修了しました。
プライベートでは最近新たにスペイン語学習をはじめました。こうした経験などから、第二言語を学ぶ難しさや、思うように伝えられないもどかしさ、学び続ける中で感じる葛藤には、誰よりも共感できると感じています。
AIがあれば、さまざまな言語を一人でも学べる時代になりました。だからこそ、あえてマンツーマンで学ぶことで、言葉の背景やニュアンスまで理解し、より自然で自信を持って使える日本語を身につけてみませんか？

️Conversation-based lessons
I offer conversation-based Japanese lessons for learners who want to develop the kind of natural, everyday Japanese that can be difficult to learn from textbooks alone. Drawing on my experience as a Japanese tutor in the UK, I can explain things that may be difficult to understand in English, especially for beginners who are new to Japanese.
️Suitable learners and Lesson format
My lessons are suitable for a wide range of learners—from complete beginners to those who want to become more familiar with natural, native Japanese.
Both online (via Zoom or Google meet ) and offline lessons (Public space around Yokohama area) are available.
️Textbook
I don’t follow a specific textbook, as I prefer to tailor each lesson to the learner’s needs and interests. However, if you have a particular textbook you would like to use, I am happy to incorporate it into our lessons.

教科書では学びづらい自然な会話を身につけたい人に会話ベースでのレッスンを提供します。イギリスで日本語チューターをしていた経験を活かして、わかりづらいことや日本語を初めて触れる人には英語を使って説明をします。
️対象者とレッスン方法
日本語初心者からもっとネイティブの日本語に触れたい人まで幅広く対応します。
ZoomやGoogle meetを使ったオンラインレッスン、または横浜市近辺の公共スペースでのオフラインレッスンが可能です。
️テキストについて
特定のテキストを用意しているわけではありませんが、テキストを使いたい生徒さんがいれば対応することができます。
