Hello everyone!
I’m a mother of an elementary school-aged boy. If you’d like to chat about parenting, you’re very welcome!
My hobby is playing the piano. I’ve been playing pop, jazz, and classical music for many years. ♫
When I was at university, I spent a year in Canada as an exchange student. After returning to Japan, I have been teaching English to Japanese students for over 20 years.
In July 2026, I completed a 420-hour Japanese language teacher training course and passed Japan’s national certification exam for Japanese language teachers.
Since August 2026, I have been teaching Japanese online.
Now, I’d like to share with you some of the things I value most when teaching languages.
What I enjoy most about teaching is getting to know each student—their life experiences, their perspectives, and what motivates them to learn. I especially love the moment when I discover the learning style that makes a student think, “Oh, this is fun!”
Over the years, I’ve enjoyed teaching people from all kinds of backgrounds: a pediatrician, school teachers, a science researcher, homemakers, and even a woman in her 70s who dreamed of studying at an American university. And she actually made her dream come true!
Now, I would like to use my English-teaching experience to help people from around the world learn Japanese.
One of the things I love about superprof is that teachers can design their own lessons. This allows me to create lessons that match each student's interests, background, and goals.
I would love to find the most enjoyable and effective way for you to learn Japanese because I believe that when you enjoy the way you learn, you can improve your language skills more quickly and effectively.
Since I started teaching languages, my teaching motto has been simple:
Fun. Easy to understand. Real progress.
I promise to make every lesson a lesson where you can finish thinking, “I'm glad I took this lesson!”

【Lesson Details】
☆ Level-Based Conversation Lessons
Using the free online textbook “Irodori,” we focus mainly on improving your speaking and listening skills according to your level.
For new vocabulary and phrases you want to learn, we practice together until you can actually use them—not just know them.
You can decide how much homework you want, from no homework at all to plenty of practice!
You can also learn not only Japanese, but also Japanese culture and ways of thinking.
☆ Free Talk: Casual or Focused?
① Casual Mode!
Let's talk as much as possible without worrying about grammar, vocabulary, or pronunciation mistakes!
This mode is perfect for those who tend to think, “What if I make a mistake?”
I won't correct every mistake, so you can focus on speaking and getting lots of practice.
② Focused Mode!
Want to talk a lot, but also learn how to make your Japanese sound more natural? This mode is for you!
I’ll give you advice on more natural expressions without interrupting the flow of the conversation.
If you want to improve your pronunciation, I can also provide detailed pronunciation guidance.
You can even switch modes during the lesson—for example, Casual Mode for the first half and Focused Mode for the second half!
Please let me know which mode you prefer before the lesson.
