Portchmouthさんについて
I am a friendly, outgoing and polite tutor with experience teaching both mathematics and English. I am currently completing an exchange at the University of Tokyo and am about to graduate with a First-Class Mathematics degree from the University of Southampton. I have been tutoring mathematics for the past two months, helping GCSE students understand difficult concepts, build their confidence and improve their grades. I enjoy breaking complex topics into clear, manageable steps and adapting my explanations to suit each student’s learning style. Since moving to Japan, I have also started tutoring English, which has further developed my communication skills and ability to work with students from different backgrounds. I aim to create a relaxed and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and progressing at their own pace.

My lessons are friendly, patient, and tailored to each student’s needs. I can cover any area of mathematics up to A-Level, providing detailed, step-by-step explanations with clear examples. Before each lesson, I will ask which topics the student wants to cover and if they have any specific practice questions or worksheets they are struggling with. Students can send these to me in advance, which lets me review the material and prepare model solutions, helpful examples, or slides on the requested topic. During the lesson, I will ensure that each concept is understood well, and I will never rush the student. I also have tutoring experience, so I understand how to adjust my explanations to fit different learning styles, abilities, and confidence levels.
