I had been a math teacher for 3 and half years at an international school in Kyoto, Japan. I have taught Algebra 1&2, Geometry, SAT Math to middle and high school students.
While I was a school teacher, I have started tutoring as my second job and since April 2024, I have made tutoring as my main job.
As a tutor, I have taught math to elementary, middle, and high school students who attend either an international school or a Japanese school.
I continue to be an educator because when I was a school teacher, I have found that teaching is my calling and I can have a great joy helping my students' learning.

For the first free trial lesson, I will hear what difficulties the student faces and what he/she would like to achieve. For the remaining time, I will give a math lesson.
The things I care about when I give lessons are the following:
1) I try not to use difficult terminologies at first, so that my students who do not like math can accept my explanation
2) If I find that the problems my students solve are not the right level for them, then I make problems on my own that suit the students' level of understanding
3) I commend my students for any tiny progress they make
4) I encourage students not to hesitate asking any questions even if they may feel it is silly to ask

In case of giving lessons at your home in Osaka, Hyogo, or Kyoto, I will commute by my motorcycle, so I charge 10 yen/km for the transportation fee. If it takes more than 1 hour to commute, I will likely to use a high way, so please cover the high way toll as well.
If you would like to cancel the lesson, please contact me 1 day before the lesson day. In case of cancelling the lesson on the day of the lesson or cancelling without contacting me, I would like to charge the regular lesson fee.
If I need to cancel the lesson, I will not charge anything and we can plan for a make-up lesson.
