After obtaining my teaching license, I worked as a mathematics teacher at a junior high school in Japan for four years. During that time, I taught a wide range of students and provided instruction from basic concepts to more advanced topics, always adjusting my teaching to each student’s level of understanding. I also have experience teaching arithmetic and mathematics in Japanese to children living overseas, including students who are not yet familiar with the pace, terminology, or way of thinking used in Japanese schools. I place great importance on not letting students move forward without fully understanding the material. Rather than relying on memorization of formulas, I focus on explaining why concepts work, using diagrams and concrete examples. My goal is to create a supportive and comfortable learning environment where even students who struggle with math can gain confidence and enjoy learning.
